Beautiful proportions, but a few missed details

I love the look of the table but didn’t realize the direction of the grain wouldn’t align with the legs (I also didn’t inquire about it which is totally on me.) I had hoped to position it so the graining would run horizontally with my sofa, but the legs determined otherwise; so by default the graining is at a diagonal. Also, there is some “splitting,” which may be normal as this is reclaimed wood, but it appears to have separated after it was painted. I can mitigate the look with fill stick so I can live with it.
